Aldi, Sainsburys and ASDA recall eggs which may contain salmonella

A batch of eggs from several of the UK’s leading supermarkets including Aldi are being recalled. The reason described as,  they may contain salmonella.

The Food Standards Agency issued precautionary advice to consumers who have purchased a specific batch of British Lion eggs.

Affected eggs can be identified by the batch code and the best before date stamped on the eggshell being 1UK15270.

Sainsbury’s is the worst affected store with a number of packs being recalled. However, Aldi’s affected eggs are Merevale Medium Free Range Eggs (pack of six) – BBE November 4 2020.
